Before going to South East Asia for the first time, I didn’t really know what to expect. I’ve seen photos of it and people talking a lot about it – but nothing can the fact of visiting it by yourself. I’ve decided to go to Malaysia for the first time and the Bromo and Ijen Volcano were also 2 big reasons to then visit Java (Indonésia).

In Malaysia, i’ve discovered how so many different cultures and religions co exist in this country. This is what makes Malaysia unique. You’ll find buddhist next to mosk (which could be found in other places, I agree) but this is different. This country were built around this.

In Thailand, I fell in love with the food and with this organized chaos (or not). People were so friendly, welcoming and smiling that this also is a reason to get there. Even tho I found out later a country with people even more friendly. (Disclaimer : Sri Lanka)

“I remember this time crossing the street with my friendS. You just walk and cars will do with it”

Reading this in 2026, seems like normal to me but if you’ve never been in South East Asia it can be disturbing at first.

What I like the most traveling to South East Asia is the way you leave your confort zone by having different habits than in occident. Habits, coutumes, the food everything is so different to Europe.

It transformed the way I see things.
