Nice - French Riviera

Before Going to Nice

Before you go to Nice, just to let you know, it’s a really sunny and colorful city by the sea with this mediteranean vibe.

The old town has small, pretty streets to explore, and the sea is a beautiful blue. In summer, there are lots of tourists, but you can still find quiet places to relax (Here’s what I’ll help you to find). You can spend your morning at the market, your afternoon on the beach, and your evening watching the sunset with your spritz by the sea.

All year long, Nice is a destination that is always worth to visit for differents reason.

When to visit ?

Spring (March-May)

Spring is a great time to visit Nice. The weather gets warmer, flower are blooming and it’s not crowded yet ! You can go to local markets, stroll arround the town or go for day trip to the villages and city nearby. It’s perfect if you want to go for a quiet trip exploring this beautiful town.

Summer (June-August)

This time of the year is def the warmest and when everyone decide to come over. It gets very very crowded so be prepared to that ! But hopefully I prepared for you special guides to avoid it as much as possible and find the hidden gems of Nice.

Obviously there is a reason to why it gets that crowded ! The sun is strong, the sea is warm and you can find this mediteranean vibe, swimming undlessly in the sea, laying on your beach towel with a game of card or a book and going later for the sunset on the sea with a cocktail in you hand. I do agree this sound amazing.

Autumn (September-November)

Autum is very enjoyable. September is my favorite month of the year as you still get the summer weather without this canicule and no crowd as summer holidays are over for most people.

Winter (December-February)

I would not personnaly choose this time of the year to visit Nice, especially if it’s my first time as you can get beautiful days but you can also have cold days and days are the shortest. This period is for me the one i reach the slopes in just few hours, 1 or 2 and would be perfect if you want to mix that with visiting museums and go for cozy coffee shops.
